Pets!

Let me introduce you to the pets around here, they are going to pop up in photomontages and dioramas, and (as for everything else around here) they have got their own backstory.

You have already met Nasty: he's Lisa Neault's creation. He first came in the house as the dark side of Asta the dog from the Thin Man Movies. At first he was Cecilia's soulmate, but now he has been adopted by Goffredo and Ofelia.
Of course he is still featuring in Cecilia's posts!

These are Bartolomeo's cats: Frida (the mother), Cezanne and VanGogh the cubs. Luckily they have fake nails so they can scratch safely on the couch!

Winston is Sebastiano's pug. But he will also appear in the Norma Desmond's next features.

Winston and the cats are Schleich's miniatures

Last but not least Odette's and Carlo boxer, he's called Black (also known as Sparklez for his sparkling coat LOL). He's a Villari Capodimonte porcelain dog.

Dioramas

Almost all the pieces have arrived, so here are the four rooms so far:

the Traveller's library,

looks like Vittorio is putting up a front, I don't believe he's such an intellectual

 the Norma Desmond's Lounge

boys and girls throwing a party

the Sunny living room

the guys are not happy with my choice of magazines......

the  Kitchen/dining

Odette and Carlo having a cozy breakfast

I still have to prepare the carpets for the last two rooms and maybe a couple of pillows for the Norma Desmond's Lounge, but I'm thrilled.....

A satin working outfit for Giovanna

It was time for a new "original" design, and for Giovanna to come back as model with an article on her own, she's such a gorgeous lady, and also my "Cover Girl"!
I've made for her this working/shopping outfit in old-rose satin, with underskirt and matching purse.
It has big collar and a tie, with a high waistline. The fabric is satin, while the purse is made of linen and satin.
I tried to come up with something legant and comfortable.

She looks very easy in it, I think she loves it.....

Ok Giovanna, what about a couple of shots with Nasty?

Uhmmm, not quite sure about this
Come on girl, don't be a  chicken....

Something is going terribly wrong.....
What the heck?!?!!?!?

.....terribly wrong!!!!!!!
Sorry Giovanna, he's incorrigible

Oh, Nasty.....
Ok Nasty, next time you want a closeup, try to bark first.....

sooooo cute.......
Nasty will never learn!

See you soon
Billa

Welcome home Nasty!!!

Seeing all those beautiful pictures out there of dollies with their little pets, and thanks to Lisa at Pumpkinhillstudios, my girls have their dog too!!!

It's a black scottish terrier, a perfect clay miniature, and he came fully dressed too!
I called him Nasty, because I wanted to call him Asta like the "Thin Man" dog, but I couldn't find a white terrier and I have to tell you, this little dog has got a temper!
Speaking of bad temper who should be the owner but Cecilia? They are a heavenly match (even though I'm not sure Cecila can actually like someone besides herself). Anyway they look beautiful:

Thanks again Lisa!!!
