satin 70's dress: a design by me!

this is dark red satin fabric with a nice cachemire motif, I thought it would have been perfect for a 70's inspired dress with some golden touches. I love the result and the girls love it too! Soon I'm going to make one also for the FR2 and Tall Body.

I loved this dress at first sight! Actually I like all the fashions Robert Best designed for silkstone Barbies so far, but I'm really not into silkstones (and presumably I won't ever be) but I admit they are a big source of inspiration.

And in fact the dress was such a success that all the "girls" wanted to try it, but I had to choose only some of them:

max & co dress

This is a replica of a dress I actually own, it comes from Max & co summer collection 2008. I bought it because I love the retro feel it has.

The original dress is made of muslin, I used Liberty Cotton and Pique fabric. Here it is presented by Virginia, she embodies  romanticism and innocence:
