Let
me introduce you to the Shockelhorn (the matchmaker), our friend Michaleen is
going to help me to match all the boys and girls around here. Are you ready to begin Michaleen?
|
|
Actually... me mouth is like a dry crust and the sun is that hot on me pate.
|
|
As
Ermanno, Luchino and Sebastiano are all settled with their new
wives/girlfriends, let's focus on Giulio.
|
handmade soccer balls! |
I
decided he needed a sporty but classy outfit, so he's wearing an outfit from
the Tobacco Road Collection. I really like how this turned out. I think it's the
perfect style for him
The background pictures are of Marrackech Souk. We went to Morocco in 2010, and stayed in Marrackech only two days, before leaving for inner Oasis and Merzouga on a 4x4. Of course more pictures of our trip to Morocco will pop out as background in the future.
|
Carpets anyone? |
This Souk is simply amazing, a seemingly endless dedalus of pathways, where you cand find real articrafts, a vast assortment of bric-a-brac, it's not difficult to get lost in here!
|
Where to now? |
I
don't know a lot about Giulio, I know he's Goffredo's friend and probably his
associate in sleuthing. Mabye he has connections with the "underworld" so can help Goffredo to get precious information. He looks rugged but sophisticated, and very handsome.
I could
tell you blood curdling stories about him but, but me throat, me throat's
gone dry
|
We
have plenty of sophisticated ladies that could suit him, but as he arrived in
the house in the same period as Aurelia (Rare Appereance Dania Zarr) I thought
they could make a very cute couple.
|
don't be worried dear, I know every turn of this place..... |
|
well, almost..... |
|
you see, we are out of the souk. Let's have a tea on a bar terrace at Jemaa el-Fnaa square |
To end their day at Marrakech, hey sip some tea with mint on a terrace overlooking Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, before joining the crowd and having a dinner at on of the delic stalls.
|
Jemaa el-Fnaa square |
That's all from Marrakech (for now).
I
think they photograph pretty well together, here they're getting acquainted and
having a drink at the Mexican bar
|
the shockelohorn did it again! |
Michaleen is pretty tired ater all this work. They didn't even offer him anything to drink!!
I hope
there's a bottle there, whoever it belongs to...
|
What do you think of the Shockelhorn job?
LOL Billa, this is such an awesome post :-). I enjoyed it so much, great job!!! The matchmaker did a very good job too, the new couple looks lovely. The pictures in Morocco are beautiful, as always! Big hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, these are the last photomontages I was able to put together....well, about three months ago.....
DeleteI'm glad you liked this, I would like to make a series of these, but I wonder if I have the time!
Kisses Billa
The match maker is funny. He is in need of water. I like The outfit you made.
ReplyDeleteMichaleen: "Water? The *Borgias* would do better..."
DeleteHi Jaye, this was funny to do, the Michaleen character is one of those John Ford's things that crack me up. If I only could find a 1/6 Barry Fitzgerald!
Marrakesh! Wow, I've only heard about that place. You are such the world traveler. Looks like a very interesting place. This is a good looking couple. Tell the matchmaker he did a fine job. Maybe they didn't offer him a drink because they don't even know he exist. Maybe he just works his magic and people don't know how it happens. We call that entity cupid here in the States.
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa, we do our best to see how many places as we can, but it has not been easy lately to find safe places to visit in the last couple of years.....
DeleteMichaleen is thankful for your appreciation, maybe you're right: he's the thirsty spirit of love....LOL
The matchmaker did a great job with these two! I do think they should have at least offered him a drink to wet his dry, parched throat! Of course, not doing so may have been a strategic move on the part of Giulio so as not to have wild stories told about him! Better those come out with time! Love all the background scenes!
ReplyDeleteHi Phyllis, I think you're right, it was a premeditated move by Giulio, Michaleen isn't to be trusted when he's allowed to wet his throat!
DeleteI agree with Phyllis, the matchmaker did a very good job. I had not stopped to think about who would end up with who, now that you have so many new men. Aurelia and Giulio make one classy couple!! Giulio looks great in the outfit you made! As usual, the photos are wonderful and you did such a great job fitting the dolls in each scenario, everything looks real! Have been to Marrakech, though I have a friend with a bed and breakfast not far from there. But you are right, the world has become such a dangerous place these days.
ReplyDeleteI have so many single boys and girls around here I had to hire a professional matchmaker! LOL
DeleteI'm going to make up a couple more of silly stories before I'll show all the matches...
Morocco is one of the few safe places, along with Jordan in the northern/middle east area, and it is such a pity. Five years ago we went to Syria, and it was beautiful, we met a lot of wonderful people and we feel very bad about what is happening there now. But we are doing our best not to be scared away from travelling. One should never give up liberty because of fear.
Ok, this comment is coming out too somber!
I'll show you more of Morocco and Jordan in the next months!
Hi billa,
ReplyDeleteThis is so great! First off, gorgeous photos of your trip! That place is high on my list of places I want to go someday so it was really nice to see those nice color photos. I love the two of those dolls together...they are a gorgeous couple. The bartender's not too shabby either!! ;)
XO Farrah
Morocco is very beautiful indeed, we visited mostly the interior and the oasis and we had a great time.
DeleteYou've reminded me I still have to introduce properly Arturo (the bartender) I have to arrange a post for him!
Tee hee.. That Michaleen guy is funny for some odd reason =D
ReplyDeleteDania sure looks comfy with Guilio. I like the contrast in this couple so much, they're perfect together! =)
Thanks so much for sharing your Morocco pics, Billa.. I'm sure you had a great time and purchased some authentic argan oils on the way? =) Hugs!
Michaleen is quite a character, one of Barry Fitzgerald funniest performances, it's a kind of character that (luckily perhaps) disappeared from movies in the early 50's I believe.
DeleteBut I have such fond memories of "A Quiet Man", such an old fashioned, typical John Ford little movie.
I'm happy with this couple, as you said their difference works out fine. Besides, Giulio is not too rugged to be Aurelia's fiancee.
We had a great time in Morocco and purchased non only argain oils, but kajal and rosewater too! and lots of dates and dry fruits!
Morocco is full of wonderful scents (as Oman). Travelling is an adventure that involves all the senses!
Ahh... the wonderful experiences of travel... Glad to hear about your adventures as always, Billa =)
DeleteAnytime someone mentions Morocco or Marrakech I think of that Absolutely Fabulous episode when the girls visited there.
ReplyDeletePoor Michaleen, nearly parched to death and not a libation in sight!
Excellent work on those outfits.
Hi Muff, I heard the first time about "Absolutely Fabulous" only two weeks ago it looks like it was really funny, I'm going to try and find some episodes!
DeletePossibly Michaleen found a Pub on his way home....LOL
Great work with photos and dolls! the clothes that i supose you made are great! i would like one day do the same! keep in touch!
ReplyDeleteHi Emma, thank you! It would be great to see your creations!
