A satin working outfit for Giovanna

It was time for a new "original" design, and for Giovanna to come back as model with an article on her own, she's such a gorgeous lady, and also my "Cover Girl"!
I've made for her this working/shopping outfit in old-rose satin, with underskirt and matching purse.
It has big collar and a tie, with a high waistline. The fabric is satin, while the purse is made of linen and satin.
I tried to come up with something legant and comfortable.

She looks very easy in it, I think she loves it.....

Ok Giovanna, what about a couple of shots with Nasty?

Uhmmm, not quite sure about this
Come on girl, don't be a  chicken....

Something is going terribly wrong.....
What the heck?!?!!?!?

.....terribly wrong!!!!!!!
Sorry Giovanna, he's incorrigible

Oh, Nasty.....
Ok Nasty, next time you want a closeup, try to bark first.....

sooooo cute.......
Nasty will never learn!

See you soon

satin 70's dress: a design by me!

this is dark red satin fabric with a nice cachemire motif, I thought it would have been perfect for a 70's inspired dress with some golden touches. I love the result and the girls love it too! Soon I'm going to make one also for the FR2 and Tall Body.

patou's fashion 1968

This is a model by Patou from the 60's. I really didn't know this  fahion house, I did my homeworks though and found out that Jean Patou was very fashionable designer in the 20's and that since then a lot of top designers worked with them, including Karl Lagerfeld in the early 60's. This one was published by Vogue in 1968 and the model here reminds me of the Androginy Avandguards Mini Clone

This was one of my earliest attempts at sewing fashions for dollies and I didn't really care to keep all the details, so the final result is more inspired than an actual reproduction of the original pattern.
The outfit has a true parisienne feel to it, and I completed it with a basque hat and an handmade bag. It is presented by Giovanna:

In her original outfit this doll was to say the least very aggressive, I love her romantic side best!!!
