Onofrio comes home

 Luchino: So your brother is coming to live here
Costanza: I'm so happy. He's preparing a new play or something like that.
Luchino: Well, if you're so happy, but he always seemed a bit odd to me.
Costanza: You're so narrow minded Luchino, it's just his a true artist, and a great theater actor. And in the end they are just Tattoos.
Luchino: Like blood stains on his face? All right, all right. We won't get started on this,  but he's not going to be a good influence on Armando, he already spends enough time reading crime novels.
Costanza: I believe he will be good for the boys. He will take them out and maybe they could even meet some girls....at long last!

Onofrio: Hello Sweethearts! I'm home! What's you name darling dear?
Mafalda: Mafalda sir, I'm the maid
Onofrio: You're a jewel, darling dear. Please take these and put them somewhere. Hallo!!!! Anybody's here to welcome the homecoming warrior?

Luchino: Costanza tells me you're preparing a new play?
Onofrio: Well, just a reprise of my famous Richard the III!
Luchino: Oh, so you needed to come home to prepare a reprise?

Onofrio: To be honest, old man, there was a lady in Paris, and one in Rome and somewhat they both got the strange idea I was going to marry each of them, so I had this idea to accept this reprise close to home and made my famous disappearing act!

Luchino: I thought it had to be something like that
Costanza: Onofrio, Richard the III such a great part
Onofrio: Thank you little sister, it will be nice to  a permanent base in between theater engagements and tournees.

Luchino: And a secure hiding place.
Onofrio: Where are the kids?

Armando & Taddeo: Uncle Onofrio! This is great!
Onofrio: Good to see you boys, you can go and get your darling dear maid to fix a drink for your old uncle? Adelaide, little princess, come on and hug your old uncle!

Luchino: Now he's here, and I already feel like I've been struck by a tornado
Costanza: Luchino, you have no reason to be so stuck up with Onofrio, you saw it for yourself: he wears socks!

As you've seen there's nothing to be worried about, Onofrio is just a flamboyant and careless theater actor. Here's a picture of him in his outfit, I believe steampunk is perfect for him.

Cozy Christmas Eve

Carlo and Odette are going to spend a cozy and quiet Christmas Eve at home. Carlo is wearing Christmas pijama trousers with matching slippers, a cardigan sweater made by me and a IT t-shirt. Odette is wearing a Christmas nightdress with mattel socks (she suffers from cold feet).

They are enjoying the sunny living room and their new chinese mini Christmas Tree (it used to have nice working lights, but it fell right before I took these pictures: it doesn't light up anymore)

After dinner they have some coffe and cuddles

Carlo catches up with the news, while Odette watches Downton Abbey

Carlo: "who the h**l is that?"
Odette: "The new Chambermaid, I'll explain you when it's over"
Carlo: "I thought they already had enough of those"

Now it's time to watch their favourite Christmas Movie: 1967 Doctor Dolittle! (I know, it' not an usual choice, but it happens to be my favourite Christmas movie too)

Odette: do you speak Unicorn?

Come midnight,  they are going to have a slice of Pandoro (tipical Italian Christmas cake) and a glass white wine

Then they are going to open their gifts, first Odette:

WOW! Carlo gifted Odette with a wonderful snake purse!

Odette: I love it Carlo! I'm going to use it in Oman!

And then Carlo:

Odette: I hope you like it, you told me you wanted one of these so much!
Carlo: When?!?!?

Carlo: OMG,  the promo picture of the Harley....

Carlo: Odette, dear, it was the Harley I wanted, not the scarf.....

Carlo: Don't worry, I promise you:  I'll try to wear it. Sometime....

Odette: I'm so sorry, are you not angry?

Carlo: Not at all. Merry Christmas sweetheart
Odette: Merry Christmas, honey

A Chrismas pinafore dress for Margherita

I had another polyester cotton tablecloth, and I wanted to make a new dress for FR tall body. So I picked this design and prepared a brand new Christmas dress for Margherita.

She looks very pretty in her pinafore dress, it enhanches her silhouette. So here she is posing in front of the Dollies Christmas Tree. Finally she has new shoes and is really happy with them!

Preparation for Christmas is almost finished!!!

travelling dolly 2 - Camilla: Around the snow in a day!

Let's get started with the  Christmas festivities, the girls now have their Christmas Tree, and I've just finished a new winter dress for FR2. It's pique cotton with faux mink details. And odd  combination you might say, but pique cotton has the right mix of rigidity and smoothness to look right in a miniature dress.

I made this dress for a photo contest,  my inspiration was my mother's wedding dress (she married in January). I'm so proud with the result that I've decided to let Camilla have some fun around the globe with her new outfit.
