I have never been to Florida, but Sasha was there two years ago and we selected some wonderful pictures he took on his trip there.
This was his itinerary. Vittorio and Margherita will start from Miami, then will go to the Keys, The Everglades, Naples, Edison's House in Fort Myers, Tampa, Orlando and Cape Canaveral!
(I want to go too Sasha!!!)
Vittorio's suit was my first attempt at a male complete outfit, I had to fix the jacket several times before I was able to get something that resembled what I had in mind. Now it looks acceptable!
This was the pattern I tried to use:
in fact it is a bit too complicated and detailed for a fashion doll, so this is the only jacket I sew using it.
Enough for Vittorio's suit. Margherita wears a dress inspired by a Tonner fashion from last year's collection.
In the end I only kept the general line, as this viscosa fabric I choose wasn't exactly willing to cooperate!
All pictures are by Sahsa.

You were right, this is a great place! |

Are we going to see the Muppet's Show, aren't we? |
This place was fun!!! I always wanted to be an astronaut |
Vittorio and Margherita are quite a lovely redheaded couple, they photographed beautifully together, and in the end he's not such a boring guy as she thought!
As Florida's nickname is "the sunshine state" (and I believe it deserves its nickname, look at the light in these pictures!!!) our soundtrack shall be "let the sunshine in"!
Son unas hermosas fotos, muy realistas :)
ReplyDeletePor cierto, acabo de conocer tu blog, ya te sigo ;)
Hasta luego, saludos desde Latinoamérica

ReplyDeleteThank you Marta! I love how they look together!
DeleteGreat post Billa! This is a wonderful tour, and the redheads look great together :-). Beautiful clothes too, and I find the glasses of Vittorio very cool! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Night Owl, I needed some sunlight so I was very happy to work at this :-)
DeleteHe's our sexy professor, remember? so I found him these nice glasses. IT did some awesome accessories for hommes.

Love the post! The pictures are great. Hard to tell they weren't really there! Oops, they were there, right?!
ReplyDeleteHi Phyllis, thank you! Of course they were there, even though they didn't tan .... isn't it odd?

As usual, a great post with lots of wonderful photos. I love the new couple. And, I think you did a fantastic job on their clothes!! Indeed, the pattern you found is quite complex! As you've discovered by now, doll clothes don't follow the rules as human clothing. You have to modify and simply even to the point of breaking lots of rules. What counts is how it looks when it's finished! But you've already figured that out!!! That said, my new guys are pointing to your blog and waiting for me to "deliver the goods!" LOL! Very picky these new dolls!!! Not like the Ken dolls who are just happy to be standing next to girls with silly looks on their faces!!!! Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteMaybe too many photos, but I couldn't resist! Thank you April, yes I'm learning a lot from my mistakes, and your tips are always so useful. I sometimes allow myself to be tempted by very complex patterns, then I cry from frustration, I simplify, and finally get it right. Anyway, male's fashion is so rewarding!
DeleteThese guys are worst than the girls! they always want to be in the spotlight and are so choosy too! LOL
I look forward for your new guys' wardrobe!

Every other photo, I was exclaiming: "Why, THAT ONE is my favorite," so there are definitely not too any photos!
ReplyDeleteI think the one on the fanboat landing is my favorite aesthetically, and the one with the alligator is my favorite for humor, but I reserve the right to change my mind every five minutes.
The suit jacket is fabulous, and of course Margherita looks comfortable and chic for all occasions.
Hi Smaller Places, thank you! I'm so happy you liked them. I have a lot of fun preparing the photomontages, but one can never tell if the result is as funny!
DeleteNow I have to finish my Christmas and New Year's eve projects, then I'll start working on some more travels!

I'm from Florida! However, I've never been to Key West, lol, so it was great seeing all your photos.
ReplyDeleteLOL Muff! I a bit envious of you, it must be very beautiful. Sasha was so enthusiastic when he was in Florida!

They had quite the trip. I enjoyed it as usual. I got extra excited when I saw the drafted jacket pattern. I've always wanted to draft patterns like a pro. I keep buying the books to learn, and never taking the time to do so. I'm hoping all the beautiful clothes created by you, Matisse and some of the other dolly sewers will get me back into it in 2015. Lovely outfits!
ReplyDeleteThank you Vanessa, I'm happy you liked it (more travels and hommes fashions on the way for 2015!). I look forwardto see some of your creations in 2015, you're so gifted I'm sure you'll sew some wonderful things for your boys and girls!
