Happy New Year!

I'm a little late, but I have to show you how the dolls here celebrated New Year's Eve!
I could not make a huge diorama as last year, but I managed to add a couple of new display rooms.
First of all let me introduce you to a "new kind of girl": The MM-FR2 Frankendollies!
Due to the excess of poseable guys that invaded the house during 2015, and the fact I really loved some of my MM facescuplts, I decided to rebody four of them: Maddalena, Matilde, Olga and Rebecca.

And I added a new space to the Mexican Bar: now the girls and boys can sit and listen to Sebastiano's band and not just hang at the bar!

Carlo and Billina went to the Mexican Bar too, here they met Samuele and Agnese, Samuele is already on his knees (the jug was filled with tequila).

Giacomo wanted to spend the evening at home with his parents and Berenice, now they have a full kitchen and a dining room (the dog is there but is not theirs, I still have to find a home for him). Margherita is not so happy

I thought that they would grow up find a girl and get a life of their own!

Rebecca set her eyes on Onofrio, he gladly obliges.

At the atelier they are working in shifts to finish Tecla's new wardrobe on schedule, Enrico have decided to stay there and help.

Olga and Emilio are  waiting for new clothes.

Tecla is mad at me as I didn't even dream to give her a poseable body. So she concocted a party of her own, for the unarticulated crew. They borrowed the most fashionable among IT dresses and all went to her lounge. She  has also got  a new "friend": The little dog is called "Chico, Paco's son". Max finally has white gloves!

May your new year be radiant and filled with joy!!!!

  2. You have a great collection of dolls and diorama items, Billa. Is that a Leonardo DiCaprio figure I see? I had the biggest crush on him when I was in college- lol. Tecla cracks me up. Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Jewell, yes he is! Action figures allow me to have some "real faces" around the house. It looks like Tecla finally found a companion she can keep on a leash!
      Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Vanessa, the action figures collecting is getting out of control actually. Fortunately I ran out of faces I like....until the next batch of facesculpts will hit e-bay! LOL

  6. LOL!!! I LOVE the "unarticulated crew" and very happy to see they decided to have their own party! I totally agree with Jewell. You have a mighty fine collection of dolls and diorama items. I can't get over just how good (and lifelike) Bellina looks, thanks to that hairstyle!! Had to laugh that your dolls play chess while they are waiting for their clothes. (If models were really that smart...) And I can certainly identify with your work-a-holic dolls!!! Happy New Years, Billa.

    1. Hi April, it is not a HUGE collection but it really grew during 2015, Billina is wearing a repro of a Guess maxi pull I love, with the green petticoat. Here all the models are very smart (with the noticeable exception of Cecilia and Tecla) LOL
The Atelier came out beautifully, I could photograph it all day long!
      Happy New Year!!!

    2. Billa, I forgot to ask... I see that you have rebodied a few of your dolls. Did you have difficulty doing this. I've thought about this for a few of mine but am afraid of "harming" the doll in the process.

    3. Hi April, it took just patience, an hairdrier and tweezers to help to get out the prongs, I followed the instructions from this blog:
      https://playbarbies.wordpress.com/2011/04/03/custom-how-we-re-body-dolls/
I used the tweezers (I have a pair which ara very sharp) instead of the screwdriver.
I was really scared, as I decided to rebody my favourite MM girls, but everything went fine. I advise not to insist if the prongs get stuck, just get the head back in place, wait for it to cool and try again later.
To fix the head to the FR2 body I simply heated the heads again and pushed gently.
