New bunch of guys!

The bunch of coomodel bodies and action figures heads have arrived! As advertised here are some pictures of them comparing to FR2 girls and Hommes.

Goffredo is wearing the first suit from the "tobacco road" collection, Giulio is in progress....

And as far as poseability, here goes Luchino:

Unfortunately the muscular bodies are only 26 cm  tall, but I ordered some more narrow shoulderded ones from the right seller and some more heads.

Luchino

I'm satisfied with this body, it poses well and actually can fit serveral kinds of different head joints!
the one problem is with the ankle joints, as the extentions are removable and the guys tends to lose their feet with their shoes on.
But they don't really need to walk around the house a lot so it is a minor fault, furhtermore they are pretty easy to undress and shall wear ultra skinny pants, if needed.

The muscular body is pretty bulkier than FR Hommes

Pietro

The details of the headscuplts are simply amazing! They look so realistic is a bit scary...LOL

Giulio

Filippo

Geremia

Ermanno

Pietro, Luchino and Giulio obliged for the pohotsession, now I'm working at their first dresses. They are bulkier than the hommes so they are going to have their own line of dresses!

The new characters I ordered are:

Cesare

Max (Tecla's butler)

Omero
I also ordered Erin from the new NuFace collection....

  1. You've got some very handsome new guys coming to your home! I will bet your ladies are happy! I found another source for tall action figure bodies. They are 30 and 31 cm tall from IG Hobby. I haven't ordered any yet, but I might have to do it! They are narrow shoulder too and priced about the same as the COO Model bodies.

    1. Hi Phyllis, I look forward to see some pictures of these IG Hobby bodies, so far I'm happy with COOmodel as they are perfectly compatible with DID and Hot Toys heads!
Thanks again, you changed the girls' life around here!

    1. They don't come even close to BJD, but, they are pretty cool.
All the guys are going to wear mostly classic fashions: some outfits from the "tobacco road" collection I'm lazily working on, and formal or Armani inspired things.
I'm working on backstories and families and dioramas for them....
But mostly I'm sunbathing, so I'm preparing miself for a lot of fun for the dark and cold months ahead!

  5. (Not sure why, but had a really difficult time posting my comment today.)
Most interesting, indeed. Even though they are not all that different in length, the difference between the action figure and the Hommes Doll is startling to my eye. I shouldn't be surprise. Jason Wu was a student at New York's famed "Parsons School of Design," where he learned fashion drawing. That class teaches how to stylize the human figure. Though influenced by "real" models, the faces are imaginary. The artists who create the action figures strive for realism. When placed side by side next to Wu's guys, there is an interesting contrast, which startled my eyes.
It will be most interesting for me to see how your new guys look after you have dressed them...and how they marry into the rest of the FR clan in future posts. ;-D Bug hugs, April

    1. Hi April, the difference is striking indeed, but in a way it seems to me they are going to fit just fine, I'm working on their trousers and I found out that the "narrow shoulder" body can swap shirts with Hommes, so it would be easier to prepare some for them, I hope I'll be able to post some "mix and match" pictures soon!

  6. I love all your new guys. Isn't the realism incredible? I'm happy you are now delving into the action figure world. I think you will be most happy to have so much more available to you. I like the FR guys, but the variety doesn't even compare to what's available outside of FR world.

    1. The realism is amazing Vanellsa! I'm so thankful to Phyllis for sharing news about this taller bodies, as much as I love FR Hommes, they just don't allow the variety I needed.
sooner or later I know I'll start sharing all the stories I've been playing around with in my head....LOL

    1. Hi Muff this is just what I loved about action figures: the fact I could get more character and even grit! I hope I'll be able to realize at least a few of the ideas they inspired to me!

  10. I like the contrast in your guys - from the immaculate FR Hommes to the more rugged action figures; nice to see a range in ages, too. And body types.

    1. Hi D7ana, it was exactly what I was looking for: some contrast among the guys. I think they mix well, I also found out that the narrow shoulder body can wear Hommes shirts, which is a very nice thing....
Now we shall see what I'll come up with for them!
